Extech TK430-IR Electrical Test Kit with IR Thermometer and Case
Comprehensive Tools You Need for Industrial, Electrical & HVAC Predictive Maintenance
To maximize uptime, you need tools that help you effectively maintain the efficiency and performance of your plant’s equipment — electrical/electronic as well as heating/cooling. Extech’s TK430-IR Kit equips you with four versatile tools that can help you find problems before they shut down a production line, affect food quality in the cold chain, or disable air conditioning in a commercial building.
EX430 True RMS digital multimeter
Compact and powerful, the Extech EX430 11-Function True RMS Pro MultiMeter provides the versatility of multiple meters in one convenient device. The EX430 measures AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, frequency, and temperature along with testing for diodes and continuity. Autoranging functionality provides ease of use, large backlit display with 1-inch high digits allow for easy reading, and the ergonomically designed housing offers comfortable, one-handed operation.
MA200 400 amp Clamp Meter
The perfect complement to the EX430, the MA200 features a 400 amp AC rating and an ample 0.9-inch (23mm) jaw opening that can accommodate conductors up to 300 MCM. The 4-digit (2,000-count) readout is easy to read and you can operate the meter with one hand using the thumb-dial selector that is ergonomically placed off to the side. You can select auto- or manual-ranging, and besides current readings you can measure voltage, resistance and perform diode and continuity tests.
42510 Infrared Thermometer
In addition to being able to take temperature measurements using the EX430’s Type K wire probe, the kit’s 42510 Infrared Thermometer lets you make safe, point-and-shoot, non-contact temperature measurements. The 42510 features a useful 8:1 distance ratio, which means that at a safe distance of 8 inches you are getting a temperature reading focused on a tight, one-inch spot. The 42510 not only ensures technicians can perform all essential electrical diagnostics, the IR makes it easy to identify overheating motors, stressed bearings, overloaded electrical panels, abnormal vent temperatures, and other components from a distance with point-and-shoot laser accuracy. The compact IR thermometer has broad troubleshooting applications with its wide temperature range from -58 to 1000 degrees F.
40130 NCV Detector
The test kit adds value with the included non-contact voltage detector. Use this compact pen-style voltage detector before you start any job. Suitable for many industrial applications with its 100-volt to 600-volt AC range, you can quickly and conveniently check for AC voltage prior to attaching your multimeter’s test leads to the device under test. When testing connections, terminations, outlets or near wire insulation with live voltage, a bright red LED flashes to illuminate the tip along with an audible beep that can be disabled. Backed by a one-year limited warranty, the TK430-IR kit comes with two sets of CAT-III test leads and Type K thermocouple bead probes, 9-volt batteries, and a custom carrying case.
